Maurice is primarily responsible for research and assessment when it comes to new investment opportunities, as well as the investigation of strategic opportunities related to existing portfolio companies at Discovery Capital. He evaluates many new and innovative technologies, looking closely at their technical foundations, proposed practical applications, and business models. Maurice has had extensive experience dealing with software and hardware companies involved with wireless and wire-line communications, knowledge management, and IT infrastructure. Prior to joining Discovery Capital, Maurice served as an IT consultant and web projects coordinator for clients in several verticals. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the University of British Columbia and a Diploma in Information Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT).
